PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
There are highboys, and then there are statements. This 1970s Campaign style highboy by Henry M. Goodman Furniture is the kind of piece that stops a room — tall, architectural, and quietly authoritative in the way only well-made American furniture from this era can be.
Crafted in rich walnut with a warm honey finish, the upper cabinet section features two pairs of carved recessed-panel doors with original key locks and carved ivory-toned pulls — a nod to the restrained elegance of the Campaign aesthetic. Below, two wide drawers carry the signature brass bail pulls that define the style: flush-mounted, substantial, and satisfying to the touch. The Ming-inspired base adds an Eastern refinement that lifts the piece beyond standard mid-century fare, grounding it with four clean, squared legs that feel both ancient and modern.
The Henry M. Goodman maker's plaque inside the drawer — "Quality · Dependability · Since 1934 · Chicago and Golf Mill" — confirms the Chicago provenance and the caliber of construction. This is not a piece that was made to be forgotten.
At home in a primary bedroom, a dressing room, a library, or a generous hallway, this highboy offers serious storage with serious style. Fully detailed before it ships.
