How long does shipping take?
Most out of state orders arrive within 4–6 weeks. Orders locally will likely arrive sooner..We'll keep you updated once your order is on its way.
How does delivery work?
Once your order is ready, we coordinate delivery. We mostly deliver items ourselves and if not, we use a trusted carrier who specializes in vintage furniture. The shipper will contact you directly to schedule a convenient time for delivery. Most orders arrive within 4–6 weeks after purchase.
Will I have a tracking number?
Small items shipped via UPS or USPS come with a tracking number, so you can follow those the whole way. Larger furniture pieces work a bit differently — since these are hand-delivered by our team or a specialized furniture carrier rather than a standard parcel service, there's no trackable number to check online. Instead, the carrier will call or text you directly to schedule your delivery window, so you'll always know exactly when your piece is arriving.
Who delivers the product?
We mostly deliver items ourselves or we partner with experienced shippers who handle vintage and designer furniture with care. Each piece is blanket-wrapped, transported securely, and hand-delivered to ensure it arrives safely.
When will I know my specific delivery date?
After your piece leaves our studio, the shipper will reach out with tracking details and a delivery window. You'll typically receive a call or text a few days before your delivery to confirm the exact time.
Do you deliver into the room?
Yes! Our carrier will bring your item inside and place it in the room of your choice. Accessories and items sent through the mail will be delivered to your doorstep.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs vary by item size and your location. We offer FREE local delivery for customers within 40 miles of Northbrook, IL and free local pickup at our Northbrook, IL location. To determine the shipping cost for an item, add the piece to your shopping cart along with your address on the website.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes! We ship throughout the continental United States. Local pickup in Chicago is also available by appointment.

What paint do you use?

Will my item be refurbished?
Yes. Every Firebird piece is cleaned, inspected, and gently restored before it leaves our studio. Painted pieces receive a professional-grade refinish that enhances both beauty and longevity.
Will the drawers work?
Absolutely. Each drawer is tested for proper glide and fit. Light age-related character is normal with vintage furniture, but functionality always comes first.
What is Paint to Order?
Our Paint to Order option allows you to choose one of our vintage pieces and select your own paint color from our curated palette. Each item is hand-painted to your specifications before delivery. It's the perfect way to personalize a piece you love while ensuring a professional, durable finish.

Can you paint a custom color?
Absolutely. Take a look at our Paint To Order page, and choose and item. We love working with clients to create a custom piece. Provide us with your preferred paint color—such as a shade from Benjamin Moore or Farrow & Ball—and we'll match it.
Will you paint my furniture?
We occasionally offer custom refinishing services depending on the piece and our current schedule. Email us photos and details, and we'll let you know if we can take it on.

Are your pieces vintage or new?
Almost all of our furniture is vintage—restored, refreshed, or reimagined with new paint or finishes to give it a second life while preserving its original character.
Do you offer trade discounts?
Yes! We love working with designers and offer trade pricing. Reach out with your resale certificate or business credentials to apply.
