1930s Art Deco Streamline Moderne Maple Commode by Heywood-Wakefield

 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Fresh out of our paint studio, we have a unique 1930s chest by Heywood-Wakefield. Representing the bold geometric streamlined shapes in the heyday of luxury, glamour, and exuberance, this piece is softly curved and made from solid wood maple. It retains its original Heywood paper tag and stenciled word "bleached" (the original finish) affixed to the back. Its native oversized wooden drawer pulls have endured and we have painted these in gold lacquer to recapture a little bit of its deco opulence. It's in excellent clean condition and a wonderful collectible piece of American history.
