Vintage Mid Century Chinese Tiered Wicker Wedding Basket
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This vintage mid century Chinese wedding basket has stacked woven wicker tiers with lacquered panels, painted with birds and flowers. The tall carved wood handle arches over the top and is carved with figures and foliage, fitted with brass mounts. The lacquered lid is hand-painted with a woman at her dressing table. The tiers lift apart for storage, and the basket was once used to carry gifts at weddings.
